Thank you for visiting the Department of Music at the Korea National University of Transportation.

As the sole music department at a national university in Chungcheongbuk-do, our objective is to nurture musical talents through both scholastic research on musical culture and musical arts in general, and hands-on training across various music specialties. Every faculty of our department is dedicated to developing musicians with a profound understanding and expertise in all fields of musical areas.

Furthermore, this music department has established MOUs with both the Szczecin Academy of Arts and the University of Music Trossingen (Hochschule für Musik Trossingen) in Germany.

We are devoted to enhancing musical teaching and education in the location of Korea's central region.

We warmly welcome everyone who has love and passion for music and desires to chart their lives and dreams alongside it.

Introduction

The Department of Music at the KNUT delivers a comprehensive educational experience, blending both foundational and specialized musical training. We are establishing a student-oriented educational approach that spans from the basic principles of classical music to advanced courses crucial for maturing as a professional musical artist.

Our goal is to create a solid foundation for our students' professional journeys. We facilitate this through practical music training, cultural education with nationally recognized certificates, and in-depth studies of orchestral repertoire. Coupled with rigorous practical training and foreign language training, we aim to cultivate musicians who have global senses and capabilities.

In this modern era represented by advancements in big data and artificial intelligence, the allure of music stands out, countering the prevailing trends and seeing renewed interest across diverse societal sectors. Our curriculum is tailored to reflect those realities. We are committed to nurturing musicians who not only excel as music performers through our holistic musical education program but also thrive as professionals demonstrating robust social competitiveness in various fields.

We envision a radiant future where fueled by unmatched passion and dreams, we can flourish through diverse major-related academic activities and assume a central role as professional musicians across our society.
