The Department of Nursing at Korea National University of Transportation is a proud national nursing education institution with a history of over 100 years. We began our nursing education journey in 1914 and have produced numerous outstanding talents. In 2006, we elevated to a 4-year nursing department through integration with Chungju University, and in 2012, we further evolved into the current Department of Nursing through integration with the Railway University. Additionally, we received 5-year accreditations in both the 2nd cycle in 2013 and the 3rd cycle in 2018, validating that our department's educational outcomes, curriculum operation, and educational conditions meet the requirements of the nation, society, and the nursing profession.

With a vision of nurturing globally competent nursing professionals with creativity and integrity, our department is committed to educating nursing professionals equipped with scientific and specialized capabilities, contributing to the well-being and health promotion of human society. Our department consists of 10 excellent faculty members, 2 full-time assistants, and about 220 students. Leveraging an educational infrastructure built over a century, we provide stable and systematic curriculum and program operations, producing numerous nursing talents. Our graduates work as clinical nurses, nursing educators, health educators, health administrators, civil servants, industrial health managers, and more, actively playing pivotal roles in various fields, both domestically and internationally, contributing to the promotion of human health and the advancement of healthcare.

In the future, our Department of Nursing will continue to strive for the cultivation of outstanding nursing talents that can respond to the changing demands in the healthcare paradigm. We will do our utmost for the development of nursing education in Korea and the advancement of healthcare. Just as our graduates have grown into advocates for national health, we hope that you, too, will nurture your dreams here by acquiring specialized knowledge, skills, and establishing sound ethics, becoming the successors of Florence Nightingale who soar to the world.

Furthermore, we kindly ask for your generous support and encouragement as we dream of a new leap forward based on our continuous development.

Thank you.
