Welcome to the website of Department of Civil Engineering, Korea National University of Transportation.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that creates a new civilization with human history and consists of Structural engineering, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Surveying information and Construction management engineering, and Environmental engineering.
Our department (Civil engineering major) devoted to plan and provide safe and convenience built environment for human society and communities by harmonizing infrastructure such as roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, ports, and dams with the natural environment, and to explore state-of-the-art design and construction technology for educating our students.
Recently, we aim to cultivate creative global talents by introducing Industry 4.0 such as artificial intelligence and big data to build infrastructure and provide education to improve practical application skills through theory and experimentation for sustainable management.
We hope you develop your dreams with passion and a sense of challenge to become the main player in the future.
Thank you.
Chair, Department of Civil Engineering
Welcome to the website of the Department of Civil Engineering, Korea National University of Transport.
Our department is the first department opened upon opening of the Chungju Industry College (founded in 1962) which has a long history. In the meantime, department of civil Engineering has driven the development of our university and produced numerous graduates, contributing greatly to the construction industry.
Today, it is the only university in Korea that specializes in transportation, and has played a key role in training engineers to build infrastructure such as roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, ports, and dams.
Civil engineering is a leading department at Korea National University of Transportation, that creates a new civilization with human history. Our department will further develop in the future as it governs all fields of infrastructure such as Structural engineering, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Surveying information and Construction management engineering, and Environmental engineering.
We welcome anyone who has a passion and a sense of challenge to become he main player of the future as an engineering student, and we will do our best to develop your dreams.
Thank you.
Chair of Civil Engineering Major, Department of Civil, Environmental, and Urban and Transportation Engineering.
